Thank God For Volunteers!

As a non- profit organization we rely on God to open up doors for ministry opportunities. We honor God for what He is doing and the people He uses to create these opportunities like the people you have met in this blog.

Please meet Daniel Twala, a young man who has a deep passion to reach out to the lost. He completed his schooling last year and will be studying full time next year. In the meantime he has volunteered to represent the Bible League of South Africa in his area and wherever he finds himself. Last week he came to the office via train and picked up 445 booklets for children at a primary school.

These booklets are heavy, yet he was so grateful that he could take these for the children even though he is traveling with the train. This young man inspires me. He comes all the way from Fochville, that is about one and a half hours drive, to Jeppestown, with limited resources. We tried to help him at least with the transport. He is not asking any finances from us...he just want to see lives being changed.

He is praying about a certain high school, which he would like to work with. Please pray with him as he says that he cannot go into that school alone. He needs prayer and support as there are many evil things happening in the school. Let us pray for this volunteer for Jesus who is a soldier true.

There is a song that goes..." A volunteer for Jesus! A soldier true! Many have enlisted!
                                            Why not you?
Jesus is the Captain...And we shall never fear!
So, come and be enlisted as a volunteer!
Here are some pictures of Daniel as we gave him a lift to the nearest train station. Look at how heavy he carried...

Thank God For A Volunteer Like This!

Nothing We do For God Is In Vain.

Recently I spoke with one of our partners. He is Pastor Israel Lechuti, who works in Randfontein especially with the school children. Both primary and high school children.

He was encouraged my one learner who told him that since he came to their school she has now a relationship with her mom...and she thanked him. When he heard this he was very encouraged that though that was not his goal...that was an outcome because of God's Word speaking within the hearts of the children. Nothing we do for God is in vain...ever.

As he gave the booklets out with his helpers to eight (8) primary schools and four (4) high schools, he took it upon himself to go through the booklets as well and answer every question. His 19 year old daughter asked him what he was doing, while busy with the children's booklet, and she was inspired by her dad when she read what he was busy with. She then took it upon herself to complete the booklets as well. Nothing we do for God is in vain. He was enriched doing it and even more so having his daughter joining him. Though Pastor Israel is a very busy man, he goes through the answers of every booklet the children completes.

Ten of the schools where the booklets were given out will be graduating the end of October 2013. At the graduation they will receive a certificate and their own Bible. Please pray for these children as many of them want to serve God in spirit and in truth...but find it difficult. This graduation will be the first of many in the area of Mohlakeng. This will take place at their community hall as there are many children from different schools. He would also like to give gifts to the schools who has the most participants in the program. If you would like to assist with this project please feel free to contact the Bible League of South Africa at 0116243329 during office hours.

There are many school children who sees and understands the significance of the Pastors visiting their schools. The violence is decreasing and the problem with bullying is being managed. Let us continue to pray for our children...and thank God for those who are working tirelessly to share the Word of God with others. Please thank God for the teachers and principals who are working hand in hand with the children, parents and pastors. Nothing we do for the Lord is in vain.

Here are some pictures of him and his team handing out the booklets.

Please feel free to visit our website at www.biblelague.co.za . Please feel free to leave a comment. Thank you for being part of this ministry...thank you for reading this blog. Thank you for praying with us and thank you for giving what you are inspired to give by the leading of the Holy Spirit. We honor God for your obedience.

A Seven Year Old Girl Makes A Difference!

Today I spoke with one of our newest partners and he inspired me with stories from the mission field. I would like to share one with you about a seven year old girl who made a difference...and will continue to be the difference in the lives of countless people.

Earlier this year Freddie and his team of people went on a mission trip. This trip was about living the way the people in the village lives. They wanted to experience how winter is in other areas so that they can reach out more effectively to these specific people. When the group returned they shared their experience. This little girl aged 7 years old, listen carefully.

She decided that she was going to raise funds so that those people can each have their own Bible. She sold silk worms at school for R1.00 each. Soon she made more than R500.00 profit. Her father was so encouraged by his daughter that he matched her amount. This was even more amazing to the grandfather who matched that amount. When this story was shared with someone else, that man also matched the amount! Wow this is amazing! A seven year old girl made a great difference and became an inspiration to her family and me too...I am sure as you read this you are thinking of ways to raise funds to make God's Word available to others.

Today Freddie came to our office collecting 50 Sotho Bibles which they will use to minister on their next mission trip with more the 200 booklets. They are planning to reach out to one of the schools as well. He gave us a donation R2000.00...which was inspired by this little girl.

Please do not hesitate to match this... www.bibleleague.co.za your contribution helps us to cover out operational costs. Please feel free to make a donation on our website.

The Lesotho Mission Team is going global, ok maybe international. Freddie Du Preez.

I have often been asked why we do our mission work in Lesotho. Well simply put it is there where I believe God has called me. And by the way that work has grown, and His incredible provision, and the amazing people that we have been privileged to serve with, we cannot dispute Gods hand and leading in the work we do there.

Well now I believe God is leading me (us) to Niue Bethesda in the Karoo. We are going to be doing a Revival Mission Trip to the Karoo from the 4th to 6th of October. Again God has just opened doors, provided for and put people in place to make this happen. Yes we still need many people to assist in many ways.

...We are inviting anybody who would like to join us, to be part of what I believe is the inaugural trip to one of the Jewels of the Karoo. So if you would like to be part of, or need more information please feel free to contact me.

More importantly though we are asking for prayer support, for all who are part of the planning, part of the trip and for the people that we are ministering to.

Africa Jesus Africa!

Recently I had a visit from Pastor Hlongwani, who has a ministry in Soweto, Johannesburg. He came to get some ministry materials. His favorite is the booklet called "How to begin with God", this booklet is available in the seven official languages of South Africa.

He shared with me how effective this booklet is and very easy to understand. He uses is to lead people to Jesus Christ. He use it to teach others how to share the message of salvation. He told me that he is invited to go and preach at their national assembly and that he is going to use something within the booklet as part of his message.

We honor, praise and magnify God as we hear people coming to salvation and learning how to share the salvation message to others by using this booklet. this booklet will be available soon on our website as a PDF. People are welcome to download it and print it to use in their respective ministries. Please make sure that you share with us the testimonies that come forth as a result of using these materials. You are welcome to send us pictures as well.

Please visit our website at www.bibleleague.co.za and share it with others who has a heart for the lost and a desire to see the saved...grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Making After School Care A Treat

On the 28th of July 2013, My family and I had the privilege to visit the Belleview Baptist Church in Johannesburg. It was a very special event.

The children who goes to the after care everyday studied God's Word on certain days. They find it to be a treat to hear and learn about God and His word in this fashion, very casual. On this day they graduated and it was a proud moment for many. They were extremely excited.

Before the graduation I shared the Word of God, reading Genesis chapter one. Every time God speaks in the chapter I made my voice strong and powerful imagining how it could have sounded if God is totally human today. The children were in absolute awe. They enjoyed listening to the Word of God being read to them with different voice tones. So much so that after the reading the children gave me an applause. This was very different for everyone.

After the service I was told that they really enjoyed listening to the Bible. Something people do not enjoy anymore. Give us anything to read except the Bible they would say. The theme of the message was: "I am valuable because God made me.". We looked at different things that was made and the value it held. Just because of who the artist or creator was of a painting made the value increase. You and I are made by God the creator of the universe. He made you last...because He wanted to prove to you that you are made by the best. When one looks at creation, one simply is in awe of the majesty and greatness of God. The same God who made you and me.

The Children were encouraged as the booklet, called "Friends Forever" which they worked through, dealt about God the creator in the first chapter. One of the children gave a testimony about how he learned about God that He alone is the creator. We are not merely existing...we are designed, created to live a life with a purpose.

Here are pictures of each of the children who participated except one, who could not make it to church that morning. Please feel free to share what God is doing in the lives of our children. You are welcome to introduce this program to your church, school or even in after school care programs.

No More Afraid because His Brother is a Witchdotor...

A Testimony From Britz.

On the 14th of July 2013, I met with a number of people in the Mabopani area. A few of the young people and one matured lady graduated on that day. They received their certificates with great joy.

There was a young man in the group. He was the only man who was in the graduation class. He gave the testimony that he comes from a home where his brother is a witchdoctor. A witchdoctor is also called a Traditional Healer. They use parts of animals, plants and anything they would need to perform rituals. They get their training from spirits, which means they worship their ancestors and are led by them.

This young man did not have the freedom to tell other people that he is a believer in Christ Jesus as he was afraid of what people would say about him knowing that his brother is a Witchdoctor. While doing the training, going through the G.O.L.D. Booklet from the Bible League, he had a change of heart. He saw that he does not need to be afraid. Jesus came to set him free and he is free indeed. He realized that he cannot be held accountable for the choice his family makes. He should not fear to share his testimony as it has the power to help others out of darkness into God's marvelous light.

He said that when he had this realization it was like a heavy weight falling off from him. God is amazing! He is an ever present help in times of trouble. He gives understanding as He reveals things to us by the power of the Holy Spirit. Please pray for this young man. There may be many like him out there, who has changed or wants a change but are afraid because of where they come from. God has the power to do more then we could ever ask or think when we believe in Him through Jesus Christ our Savior, who is our Savior from sin.

Promotion in Rustenburg!

Maxwell and Bai went to Rustenburg to promote the Bible League of South Africa and then from there they are going to Mafikeng. I will update you about this trip in the next blog. The pictures here was when Bai went to Rustenburg for the first time to do a graduation and she did very well. The church is called, Sediba Sa Thapelo Letsha La Bethesda.

The leadership of this church are very excited to be a part of BLSA. They were at our banquet last year and promised to participate in our programs this year. They are very eager. So much so that they kept on calling and emailing us to come and make a presentation there in their area and bring Bibles as well. They went around in the area and invited a number of people and school representatives. They want others to share in the truth which they are discovering through God's Word.

Please pray for this partnership. We thank God for people who are eager to see His Word placed in the hands of those who does not have His word. May God's Word not only be in the hands of people, but especially in their hearts. It is in the heart where transformation happens. The hearts responds first then the mind. The mind is many times too slow as it tries to make sense of everything, yet not everything can be understood by the mind. It needs just believing in the heart.

I trust that you will enjoy browsing through these pictures. These are the students who went through the youth program. It is called 'G.O.L.D. Life' program. It means Discovering God Ordained Life and Dream. This program helps young people to understand the way they are, who they are, their purpose, the will of God, vision, decision-making and most of all to share what they learn and know with others. Please pray for these young people to stay at the feet of Jesus wanting to serve Him in Spirit and in Truth. The adults went through  Project Philip.

Just notice how some of them covered their Bibles...so precious!
